The Orme Ranch is proud to collaborate with a local artisan whose bees produce honey from our indigenous mesquite and field alfalfa.

Mesquite honey is a medium amber color (pictured on the right) and has a distinctive sweet taste. It pairs very well with smoky rich flavors like barbeque sauces, or fruity flavors like berries. It can also be used to replace molasses or brown sugar in desserts.

Alfalfa honey is characterized by its light amber color and delicate floral aroma. It has a subtle spicy taste and is not as sweet as most honey types. It is excellent as a  table honey or ingredient as it doesn't overpower other flavors.

Our honey is available for purchase in the summer season.
