The Orme Ranch grows both Alfalfa and Sudangrass hay.

Alfalfa hay is preferred for horses and other livestock as it is palatable and high in energy. It is also valued for containing good-proteins, as high as 18 percent. 

​

Sudangrass hay is primarily used for cattle and other livestock, and contains high levels of calcium and potassium. It is one of the healthier varietals for the land as it is drought resistant and adds valuable organic matter to the soil.
